Who we are and what this covers
This policy covers Fractal Travel for iPhone and iPad, Fractal Travel Wide for Apple TV, Fractal Travel for Android (distributed through Google Play), the 프랙탈 여행 Toss mini-app, and this website. They are operated by HS24 (에이치에스이십사), represented by Hyeonsu Jeong (business registration no. 380-17-02125), “we” below.
Fractal Travel for iPhone and iPad
Analytics. The app uses Google Firebase Analytics, in the configuration without advertising-identifier support. Firebase assigns a random app-instance identifier to the app on your device, reads the identifier for vendor (IDFV) that iOS gives apps from the same developer, and collects technical information such as device model, operating-system and app version, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. The app records events in these categories:
- App launches and sessions, including how long the main screen took to appear (as a time range)
- Feature use: opening the pattern, color, speed, settings, zoom, and export panels; choosing a pattern or palette; changing a setting; reaching the free zoom limit; opening today’s free fractal
- Saving, sharing, and exporting, with the outcome (success, cancelled, or a categorized error)
- The Premium screen and purchase or restore flows: the plan and product chosen and whether it succeeded, never receipts or transaction IDs
- Whether you use the free or Premium tier, a session count, and categorized error codes
Firebase may also record in-app purchase events automatically, such as the product, price, and currency.
We don’t collect your name, email address, Apple Account, contacts, precise location, the advertising identifier (IDFA), or the coordinates and images of the fractals you explore. The app never sets a user ID, ad-personalization signals are turned off, and the data is not combined with other companies’ data for advertising or tracking.
We look at this information only in aggregate: to learn which features are used, where people leave, and which errors or slowdowns need fixing. Google processes it as our service provider. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the retention period set in our project, no longer than 14 months, and then deletes it; the reports we read contain only aggregate counts. Deleting the app resets the app-instance identifier; the IDFV resets once no app from the same developer remains on the device.
Turning analytics off. Turn off Share usage analytics in the app’s Settings panel, and the app stops sending analytics from that device right away and deletes the analytics data and app-instance identifier Firebase kept on it. If you turn it back on, Firebase starts over with a new identifier. Data already sent stays with Google for the retention period above; to have it deleted sooner, contact us.
Photos. When you save an image, the app asks for add-only access to your photo library. It never reads your existing photos.
On your device. Recent explorations, your last scene, settings, and a daily-streak counter are stored in the app on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
Purchases. Premium subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. The app checks your subscription status on the device with Apple’s StoreKit; we don’t receive your payment information.
Fractal Travel Wide for Apple TV
The Apple TV app includes no analytics or advertising tool and doesn’t send information to us. Your settings and scenes are stored on the Apple TV. The app is bought through the App Store, and Apple processes the payment.
Fractal Travel for Android
The Android app uses Google LLC’s Firebase Analytics to understand app and feature usage. It processes an app-instance identifier and Firebase installation ID (FID), which may be used for analytics and attribution, device model, operating system and app version, approximate location at country or city level inferred from IP address, and events such as launches, sessions, pattern and color selection, exports and their results. When Google Play is linked, Firebase may automatically record in-app purchases, including subscriptions, with product ID, product name, currency and quantity. Fractal coordinates, images, free text and advertising identifiers are not sent as analytics events. The Android app has no advertising or separate crash-reporting tool. Settings and recent selections remain in the app; Android may include those settings in your Google account backup if enabled.
Google processes this information for usage statistics. Event-level data is retained for up to 14 months. Turning off “Share usage analytics” in Settings requests that subsequent analytics collection on the device stop and that Firebase’s locally stored analytics data and app-instance identifier be reset. The app also requests this reset if the region or consent decision changes from allowed to denied while analytics is active. Processing of information already being transmitted is not necessarily cancelled immediately. This is separate from deleting the Firebase installation ID, which may be subject to different retention and deletion rules. Previously transmitted information may remain for the retention period; you can request deletion using the contact below.
Images and GIFs you save go to the Pictures/Fractal folder on your device, and videos go to Movies/Fractal. Exports are created on the device and leave it only when you pick a destination in the share sheet.
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google Play handles your payment details; the app receives the purchase status and a purchase token from Google Play to unlock Premium and doesn’t send them to us. To confirm a new purchase with Google Play, the app may check it again in the background, even while the app is closed.
The 프랙탈 여행 Toss mini-app
The mini-app runs inside the Toss app without a separate sign-up. Our code doesn’t ask for your name, phone number, email, Toss member ID, location, or contacts, and it uses no analytics tool or server of ours.
Your last exploration and up to 20 saved scenes are stored in the mini-app on your device; you can delete saved scenes in “내 장면”. When you save an image, the PNG is created on the device and stored with Toss’s file-save feature. The mini-app never reads your existing photos.
Versions of the mini-app that show a banner ad place one Toss banner below the free lists (patterns, colors, and “내 장면”), requested and shown by the Toss ad SDK. The ad slot is attached once after the first screen is ready; after that the SDK manages ad rotation. Alongside Toss ads, the SDK can mediate ads from partner networks such as Google AdMob.
Toss and its advertising partners may process information to request, show, and measure ads and clicks. The device information that the Toss ad SDK version used here (3.4.1) defines for ad requests is the device OS and version, device model, mobile carrier, the web view’s browser information (User-Agent), the advertising identifier (Android advertising ID or iOS IDFA, depending on device settings and tracking permission), the iOS identifier for vendor (IDFV), and the tracking-permission status; ad impression and click records are processed as well. The actual scope and retention follow the privacy policies of Toss and its advertising partners.
We don’t receive or store this ad information, and we don’t pass your scenes, exploration settings, or images to the ad SDK. You can reset the advertising identifier or limit personalized ads in your device settings. Exploring, saving scenes, and saving images all work without viewing or tapping an ad, and even when no ad loads; watching ads never unlocks paid features.
Information that Toss processes to run its platform is covered by the Toss terms and privacy policy.
This website
This is a static website at sabujakworks.com/fractal/, hosted by Google LLC on Firebase Hosting, which processes standard request information such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics tool.
Service providers and international processing
We don’t sell or rent personal information or share it with others for their own marketing. The companies below process information for these services, sometimes outside your country, including in the United States:
- Google LLC (Firebase Analytics, iPhone, iPad and Android apps): the analytics data described above
- Apple Inc. (App Store) and Google LLC (Google Play): purchases and subscriptions, under their own privacy policies
- Viva Republica (Toss) and its advertising partners: the Toss platform and banner ads in the mini-app
- Google LLC (Firebase Hosting): website hosting
Google LLC processes Firebase Analytics for the iPhone, iPad and Android apps. During use, app-instance and Firebase installation identifiers, device and app information, approximate country- or city-level location and usage events are sent over the network to and stored in the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers. They are used for usage statistics; Android event-level data is retained for up to 14 months. To stop the transfer, turn off Share usage analytics in the app’s Settings panel or delete the app. The iOS section describes IDFV and iOS retention.
Your choices and rights
You can use every version without an account. To stop analytics on iPhone, iPad or Android, turn off Share usage analytics in the app’s Settings panel. Deleting or reinstalling any version clears the data it stored on your device.
Because we hold no account data, we usually can’t match analytics records to a specific person. You can still contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing, and we will respond as required by applicable law, including Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act.
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply.

Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how information is handled, such as accounts, new analytics, or ads, we will update this page and its date before they launch.
